In 1997 Dr. Barrett Tolley earned his undergraduate degree in Biology Magna Cum Laude at Florida State University.  Dr. Tolley is a fourth generation graduate of the University of Maryland / Baltimore College of Dental Surgery (The world's first Dental School).  He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS) in 2002.

Following dental school Dr. Tolley moved on to Jacksonville, Florida where he completed a rigorous four (4) year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Florida/Shands Jacksonville. Residents receive extensive training in all aspects of contemporary Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery including Maxillofacial Trauma/Reconstruction, Head and Neck Oncology/Pathology, Temporomandibular Joint Surgery, Dental Implant Surgery, Facial Aesthetic Surgery, Traditional Oral Surgery, and IV Sedation/General Anesthesia.  UF/Shands Jacksonville is also a Level I Trauma Center. Residents are exposed and trained in the art and care of the Maxillofacial Trauma Patient.

Following his residency, Dr. Tolley completed a one (1) year associate position in Lakeland, Florida and then made the decision to open a practice in Tallahassee.  The development of the trauma center at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital was pivotal in Dr. Tolley’s decision to return to the Tallahassee area.  His kinship with FSU also encouraged his return to the state’s capital.

In 2007 with the support of Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, Dr. Tolley founded the Oral and Facial Surgery Center of Tallahassee.  Dr. Tolley is Chairman of the Department of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery at TMH and an active member of the trauma team, participating in all aspects of facial trauma care.  His current practice is full scope with particular interests in Maxillofacial Trauma, Orthognathic Surgery, as well as Facial Reconstruction.  Dr. Tolley also maintains a busy traditional oral surgery practice with an emphasis on Dentoalveolar Surgery, Dental Implants, and IV sedation/anesthesia.

When not practicing Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Dr. Tolley enjoys hunting, fishing, boating, classic cars, and spending quality time with family.



Daniel L. Bower, D.M.D., M.S.

Dr. Bower is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.  He specializes in facial trauma and reconstructive surgery, orthognathic (jaw realignment) surgery, cleft lip and palate surgery, bone grafting, dental implant reconstruction and wisdom tooth surgery.

Dr. Bower completed his undergraduate education at Asbury College where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and Biology. Following graduation from Asbury College, he enlisted as a machine gunner in the United States Marine Corps and joined 1st Battalion, 5th Marines stationed at Camp Pendleton, California.  He later went on to Quantico, Virginia to become a Marine Corps Officer.   After 6 years of honorable service in the United States Marine Corps, Dr. Bower entered dental school at Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine and obtained his Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree in 1997.     

Upon graduation from dental school, Dr. Bower joined the United States Navy and completed a General Practice Residency in dentistry at Naval Hospital, Camp Pendleton.  It was here that Dr. Bower decided that Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery was his calling.  He made the decision to do out-service training at Ohio State University Medical Center where he received his certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and his Master of Science degree in 2004.

Following graduation from residency, he served as a staff Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon at Naval Hospitals located in Beaufort, SC; Camp Pendleton, CA and the island of Guam in the South Pacific.  Dr. Bower retired from the United States military in 2015 where he served for over 20 years. He is married to his wife Susan and has 3 children, Aaron, Megan and Kristin. He is active in his local church and enjoys spending time with his family, off-shore fishing and free diving.
